How Does a Laser Lipo Machine Work?

Laser Lipolysis is a non-invasive way to remove excess fat without any surgery. The procedure is safe and effective, but it does require multiple sessions over a period of weeks.

It’s not an ideal treatment for everyone, though. Women who are pregnant or menstruating should avoid it because the reduction of fat cells may affect their hormone metabolism and function.

If you are unsure about the safety of laser lipo, ask your doctor about the procedure. They can give you a full list of side effects and risks.

You might be a good candidate for laser lipo if you’re in relatively good health, have excess body fat that is resistant to exercise and diet, and want to improve your skin tone and shape. You also should be committed to a healthy lifestyle that includes eating nutritious foods and exercising regularly.

Compared to ultrasound cavitation, which uses vibrations to break up the cells, laser lipo works to shrink the cells without killing them. It is used to reduce stubborn areas of fat, like the thighs, abdomen, arms, back, and buttocks.

A laser lipo machine uses low-level laser energy to target the fat cells under your skin. It focuses on the fat cells that are about 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) deep.

The device emits red and near-infrared light that stimulates cellular energy. This increases your metabolism and decreases inflammation. It also promotes the growth of muscle tissue.

When the energy from the laser is absorbed by the fat cells, it triggers the production of a chemical called lipolysis. This process breaks down the fat cells so that they can be absorbed by your body, where they will be reabsorbed and broken down in the future.

There are several types of laser devices available, including SmartLipo, CoolLipo and Prolipo Plus. All of them perform the same treatment, but there are some differences in their wavelengths, which can affect the results and recovery time.

Most people can expect noticeable results after a few treatments, but the total number of sessions required will vary. Your doctor will recommend the right number of sessions for you and provide a customized treatment plan.

If you have an area that is a little too large for laser lipo, another option is to use ultrasound cavitation. Ultrasound can break up fat cells and melt them away, but it does not do so as quickly or effectively as laser lipo.

Unlike ultrasound cavitation, laser lipo has zero downtime and no risk of scarring or lumps under the skin. It also does not cause any damage to surrounding tissues.

Aside from removing fat, the laser also tightens skin. This is because the laser triggers the body to produce new collagen and elastin fibers that can reduce loose, sagging skin and restore the youthful appearance you desire.

You’ll need to commit to a series of laser treatments, but the results are often very visible and permanent. The treatments are painless and can be done on most areas of the body, including the stomach, thighs, hips, buttocks, arms, chin, neck, and jowls. You can see results in as little as three to six weeks, but some people need more than one treatment for optimal results.
